Cast Bonding Process
Cast Bonding is a unique process developed by the CSIRO that allows steel components of a wide range of geometries to be protected with thick deposits of very hard wear-resistant overlays.
The bond between the two materials form primarily in the solid state diffusional process following casting of the overlay onto the steel substrate.
An example is Cast Bonded armour plate which is a unique form of wear plate offering a very thick wear resistant overlay with exceptionally high impact resistance.
